DOUBLE DREAM

I dreamed of him last night
Alone, and we were free
Surrendered without fight
To sensuality
This morning I espied
A look upon his face
As my eyes opened wide,
Remembering his embrace,
Occurred to me a thought
Delicious to my heart
In day, in vain I’ve sought--
In night, we’re not apart.
I felt that moment sure
He’d dreamed the same as I
His eyes had such allure
On both our lips a sigh
This morning when we met,
Transfixed, after our dream,
A vision to never forget
Or speak of or blaspheme
For one day, evening new,
That vision will come true
I tell you, through and through,
Our vision will come true.
