Title: Celestial Jellyfish
Author: Farfalla, the kitten in a mitten
Contact: blueberrysnail@yahoo.com
Series: TOS/TNG
Pairing: It's supposed to be a riddle. Possible pairings at the bottom.
Rating: Poetry? The rhyme scheme is kind of funky... so let's just pretend it's Vulcan or something :-p
Part: 1/1
Archive: Yeah sure spread the luv ;-) but somebody tell me about it first (if it's someone other than the regular ASCEM folks)? ;-D
My K/S website: http://spirk.cosmicduckling.com
Summary: Um.... it's a riddle.
Note: I am writing a piece of music for violin and piano that also goes by the name of Celestial Jellyfish. Although it was not inspired by the events depicted in the poem, because it predates it, it goes along with it quite nicely :-)

Disclaimer: The entire Trek universe belongs to Paramount and will not suffer much from the poking and prodding of our curious collective imaginations. We mean our beloved characters no harm and think that quite possibly they enjoy the variety ;-)

CELESTIAL JELLYFISH

Journey through space to stars unknown
Desperate quest so far from home
A streak of tears is left behind,
A comet in the sky

Tenacity will not abate
While searching for your missing mate
Have confidence that you will find
Reunion sweetly nigh

A rescue, a symbolic kiss
On Farpoint-- or on Genesis--
You welcome sharing of the mind
Retrieve lost years gone by

And send a glow through all of space
When finally your forms embrace
You have changed what was designed
Because you thought to try.

If you missed it, I'm trying to draw a comparison between the giant magical shapeshifting jellyfish in the TNG pilot and the relationship between Kirk and Spock. However, as somebody pointed out, Spock and Saavik also works as a pairing. Any more? ;-)
