Realizations of a Crowded Universe - Aftermath


Uhura barely made it into the lift before the doors closed. Running
really late had made her careless. It also made her alone with an
equally late captain. She smiled awkwardly as she felt his cool gaze
take her in.


"Good morning, Captain." She nodded tentatively. Uhura was not sure
how Kirk would react to her unexpected kiss last night on the
Observation deck. It seemed like an eternity before he deigned to
respond.


"Good morning, Lieutenant. I see I'm not the only one tardy." He
smiled pleasantly, courteous but impersonal.


So that's how it would be - a forgotten memory...
